When I first met April & David, the only thing they knew was they wanted a small intimate gathering with just their closest friends and family. SAY LESS! I was hooked and determined to help them plan the microwedding of their dreams.
A restaurant reception was on the table (pun intended) but I decided to show them several venues that allowed us to design a private dinner that was Pinterest-worthy. My favorite part of venue tours is when clients don't even have to say a word...we all just *know.* The moment they laid eyes on the Parsonage at St. Johannes, we all knew that was the one.

the wedding design
What I love about wedding design is how it is always evolving. As more decisions are made, the design molds and adapts accordingly. We started with a focus on pastel colors, primarily pink and blue. When April fell in love with a beautiful pink floral dress, I knew then that pink had to be the focal point.
When dealing with pinks and blues in a wedding design, I was careful to ensure it wouldn't look like a baby shower. I'll never forget when April and David were deciding on final colors she exclaimed "I guess It's a girl!" While pink was our focus, I still recommended we use light blue linens to subtly contrast the pinks in the design. As a result, we have an absolutely stunning reception table and Spring colors throughout the wedding design.
the guest experience
April & David wanted to ensure their guests were a main consideration. From the glass of champagne upon arrival to the late night bite station, their guests had no shortage of delicious drinks, food, dessert, and amazing live music to have the time of their lives!
